HMH-362, The Ugly Angels, graciously accepted a woman into their Avionics Shop, in 1978; she was one of two women assigned to the squadron {the other went on to become the FIRST woman Crew Chief}, who would occasionally hear that "Women are a waste, if we get deployed, YOU get shore duty" to which she would reply "Contact YOUR Congressional reps - I signed the same document as you, I'm willing to go!"
