OK, so Obama is going to sponsor a NASCAR "something" ....................................

doesn't that kind of indicate a bit of tone deafness/insensitivity, since Americans who live in 'the real world' are struggling daily with HOW to pay for gasoline? I am NOT advocating stopping events such as NASCAR - I'm just saying that, with all the struggles us 'regular, Joe SixPack' Americans are facing, and with Obama's most recent 'stands' {of course, with the understanding that they can change at any moment} on energy issues, AND given that his appeal to NASCAR fans might be less-than-anticipated, couldn't he have found a more sensible option to appeal to blue-collar folks? I've NO IDEA how much gas will be consumed in the course of the race, but I'd bet that it's sufficient to provide at least a couple of families with enough gas for them to cover their needs for a year ................................

Yes, yes, I know it's not 'gasoline' per se, but you get my drift ........................ ;-)

I'm a nascar fan and haven't thought of that idea yet. It'd make sense, but I doubt they will prevent the races.

Most important to me is he is doing something he knows nothing about to put on a show for those 'RURAL, God and guns folks". You know how we ignunt folks cling to stuff.
